Since 2004, we have been helping shape compassionate and skilled healthcare professionals as part of the Indian Academy Group of Institutions. Indian Academy College of Nursing is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognised by Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC), and approved by the Government of Karnataka. This reflects our commitment to preparing responsible healthcare professionals.
Our labs give students the confidence to learn by doing. Designed as simulated clinical environments, they focus on hands-on skill development using models, manikins and specialised equipment that bridges theory and practice, ensuring patient safety before the students enter real clinical settings.
Our skill practice is guided by an experienced faculty who demonstrates essential bedside care procedures in well-equipped labs. Students also benefit from pre-clinical and audiovisual facilities, along with a library stocked with national and international learning resources. We also provide an e-learning facility for the ease of students.
Clinical learning sits at the heart of our training. Students gain hands-on exposure in respected institutions such as P.D. Hinduja Sindhi Hospital, Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health Nursing, Vision India Mental Health Nursing Training, Cox Town and D J Halli Maternity Centres and Bettahalasur and K Narayanapura Primary Health Centres.
Across the fields of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Mental Health and Community Health Nursing, students apply theoretical and practical knowledge in real healthcare environments and develop the competence to provide comprehensive, holistic healthcare.
Community postings allow students to step into grassroots healthcare settings. Through Primary Health Centres and national and state-level health programmes, they practise community health skills and understand the real impact of care beyond hospital walls.
The Training and Placement Cell works closely with students to guide their journey into leading hospitals in India and across the world. Many of our graduates have gone on to build successful careers in the UAE, USA, Canada, Ireland, Europe, Australia, etc.
