Overview
Our B.Sc Nursing program is a four-year degree course. Indian Academy College of Nursing is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognised by Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC), and approved by the Government of Karnataka.
Students gain hands-on clinical experience throughout the program in some of Bangalore’s leading hospitals and healthcare centres.

Eligibility
Candidates applying for the B.Sc Nursing program must meet the following requirements:
- A pass in 10+2, PUC, PDC, or Vocational Higher Secondary Education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects, with a minimum aggregate of 45 per cent in PCB.
- English must be one of the subjects studied.
- The candidate should be 17 years of age on or before 31 December.
- The candidate must be medically fit.
Course Objectives
B.Sc Nursing: Semester Batch
By the end of the B.Sc Nursing program, graduates will be able to:
- Use critical thinking to bring together knowledge from physical, biological, behavioural sciences and the humanities in professional nursing and midwifery practice.
- Deliver safe, competent care across a range of settings, using empathy, analytical thinking and effective nursing interventions for individuals, families, communities and populations.
- Make practised decisions that reflect ethical, moral, legal and professional values.
- Honour the dignity, individuality and worth of every person, including themselves.
- Apply leadership, autonomy and management principles to strengthen the quality and safety of health care.
- Use current knowledge and technology to enhance patient outcomes.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, peers and all health care professionals.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other health professionals, guided by safety and quality improvement principles.
- Apply nursing theory and research evidence to support informed decision-making in practice.
