Batch:2018-2022 B.Sc. Nursing
I am delighted to share my testimonial about the exceptional educational experience I received at Indian Academy College of Nursing. As a recent graduate of the Bachelor’s program, I reflect upon my time at this esteemed institution with immense gratitude and pride.
Throughout my academic journey, I was consistently inspired by the dedicated faculty, who not only imparted knowledge but also nurtured critical thinking and creativity. This diverse and challenging course has provided a solid foundation for my future endeavours, while the emphasis on holistic development encouraged me to explore beyond the classroom.
During this course of four years, I stayed in the Hostel run by the institute where I got varied benefits of high-class board and lodging and the inmates were so friendly and cooperative in all respects.
I had the privilege of collaborating with brilliant peers from diverse backgrounds, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives. Engaging in extracurricular activities, such as Games and Sports, Yoga, Dancing, Singing, Anchoring and so on has allowed me to develop leadership skills, expand my horizons, and create lasting friendships. And as a result, this esteemed institution has crowned me with the title of “Best Outgoing Student” of 2018 – 2022 batch.
Batch:2019-2023 B.Sc Nursing
There are institutions that educate students, and then there are institutions that help shape human beings. For me, Indian Academy College of Nursing was unquestionably the latter.
When I first walked through its doors, I was not the ideal nursing student. I carried dreams, anxieties, uncertainties, and, if I am being completely honest, very little enthusiasm for the profession itself. Yet somewhere along the way, something remarkable happened. What began as a course of study became a calling, and what began as a place of education became a second home.
The greatest gift the institution gave me was not academic excellence alone, though the quality of education was exceptional. It was belief. The faculty saw potential in me long before I could see it in myself.
I often think of our respected Principal, Mrs. Elizabeth Leena, whose leadership helped cultivate an environment where students felt supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow beyond the confines of a syllabus. I think of Radha Ma’am, Manvi Ma’am, Munmun Ma’am, Arul Ma’am, Soumya Ma’am, Smitha Ma’am, Gowri Ma’am, Divya Ma’am, and so many others who invested their time, patience, and care in shaping the person I would become.
I was a student with an endless number of questions. Looking back, I suspect I asked far more than most. Yet not once was curiosity treated as a burden. Every doubt was answered. Every question was welcomed. More importantly, many of my teachers took the time to teach me things that would never appear in an examination hall but would prove invaluable in life. They taught not merely for marks, but for growth.
What I cherish most is the confidence they nurtured in me. Before joining the institution, I had little interest in extracurricular activities and rarely imagined myself participating in events. Yet the encouragement I received transformed that completely. The college trusted me with responsibilities, gave me opportunities to host events, encouraged me to participate in competitions, and consistently pushed me beyond the limits I had unknowingly placed upon myself.
Those opportunities did more than fill certificates and memories. They changed the way I saw myself.
Indian Academy gave me a safe and supportive environment in which I was allowed to fail, learn, question, improve, and ultimately thrive. It nurtured me academically, but it also nurtured my voice, my confidence, and my curiosity. For that reason, some of my most meaningful lessons were learned outside the classroom, in conversations with teachers who cared enough to guide a student not only toward success, but toward becoming a better human being.
Years have passed since I left those corridors, yet the impact remains. The knowledge I gained has served me well, but it is the kindness, patience, encouragement, and faith of my teachers that I carry with me every day.
When I look back now, I do not remember only lectures, assignments, examinations, or clinical postings. I remember people who chose to invest in a young student and helped him discover strengths he did not know he possessed.
For that, I will always remain grateful.
Indian Academy College of Nursing did not merely teach me nursing. It helped me find myself. It shaped the human being I am today.
